Discover the magic of sunlight through the art and science of sunprinting at NoCo ARTS in Downtown Newton, NC!

In this hands-on workshop, participants will learn to create traditional blue-and-white cyanotype prints using sunlight and light-sensitive iron salts. Developed by British scientist Sir John Herschel in the mid-1800s, this fascinating photographic process is where art meets science.

Participants will experiment with fresh and dried botanicals, as well as personal objects, to create unique imagery. Each participant will make several framable prints on a variety of substrates, along with a one-of-a-kind cyanotype design on a canvas tote bag. There will also be additional supplies to create prints from home.

The cost for this workshop is $80 and includes ALL supplies and materials. Snacks and beverages will also be provided.
